Owner Operators : Requirements

Operator requirements:

1 year OTR experience in last 5 years

Acceptable PSP & MVR

6 months flatbed, verifiable,

No felony conviction in past 5 years

No leaving scene of an accident

No use of vehicle to elude police

No drug or alcohol conviction in last 5 years

No reckless driving conviction in last 5 years

No careless/negligent convictions in last 5 years*

No excessive speeding in past 12 months

No more than 1 at fault accident in 3 years

No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years

Pass road test

*some states list careless/negligent on MVR, if that shows on a MVR we will determine what the careless/negligent event was.

Equipment Requirements:

Pass DOT inspection that is performed only by approved inspection sites.

Re-inspected every 6 months

All Owner Operators and hired drivers are required to have:

Passenger insurance if the driver has a passenger *

Occupational Accident or Worker Compensation insurance as dictated by state law *

*insurances available thru TSH vendor
